Charles Linville and Essie M. (Poyner) Spencer:
Charles Linville Spencer was was my great-uncle. He was the son of oldest child of James Riley and Mary Ellen (Tindell) Spencer. He was first married to Gertrude Luetta Young and they had four children. Gertrude died when when she was about 23 years old. Charles then married Essie M. Poyner-Bateman who had 2 children from her marriage to Franklin Bateman. Together Charles and Essie had 3 more children.
William Alonzo and Ersie Prudence (Kilgore) Spencer:
Wm. Alonzo Spencer was another of my great-uncles. He was the youngest son of James Riley and Mary Ellen (Tindell) Spencer. My dad always spoke highly of his Uncle Alonzo who was a religious man and very well liked on Mt. Sherman.
Arthur Burl and Julia Victoria (Spencer) Kilgore:
Julia was my great aunt and daughter of James Riley and Mary Ellen (Tindell) Spencer. Her brother, Wm. Alonzo Spencer married Burl's sister, Ersie Prudence Kilgore.
Silby Shelly and Lillie Viola (Spencer) Kilgore:
Lillie was my great aunt and daughter of James Riley and Mary Ellen (Tindell) Spencer.
