Hi Judy,
I don’t know that we have met, but I am Cindy Barnett, Luther Cletus and Vera Juanita Barnett’s daughter. Descendant of George Hess and Sarah Evans, as well as the Hardgraves on my grandmother’s side – Addie Ethel Hess. Thomas Clayton was my grandfather, and I spent many, many summers and other times in Coal Hill.
What a beautiful site you have! I am so pleased that someone took the initiative to produce such a wonderful memorial and remembrance of my grandfather’s and great-grandfather’s cemetery. When the Hess Cemetery gates were made, back in 1969 or 1970, I came down and took pictures of the gate for my grandfather – he was so proud.
I do have a bit more information on some of the listings – I can hardly believe there are 87 unmarked graves! My uncle Troy Lee and I put a rock behind my mom and dad to mark a spot for me to be buried. I certainly hope it is still there, I need to get down there and see. It does not have my name on it or anything, but I believe it is a white rock or stone. My sister and her husband, Melissa Carter have the two next to my mom and dad.
I would love to be added to your contact information. I live in Bentonville, AR and am big into genealogy; have worked on it for many years. I also have pictures of many of the people listed, if you would like to have those...
