Where Relaxation Awaits You
Come Stay With Us...

We live in the Boston Mountains of Northwest Arkansas. This area was settled first by the Native Americans and then came our ancestors from Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, etc. Even though time and progress have changed most of the country, there are still places that time has forgotten. The mountain we live on is not a complete wilderness, but we are still in the backwoods of the Ozarks. There are a lot of indigenous wildlife and flora with inspiring vistas from the sandstone bluffs of the mountains.

Climate
We enjoy all four seasons of the year with mild to moderate winters, beautiful green and blooming springs, warm to hot summers, and colorful autumn foliage. In the winter time, we get our fair share of ice and frozen fog that leave the woods with a brilliant dazzle in the early morning sunshine. In the spring, redbuds and dogwoods highlight the forest vegetation. In the summer time, tree frogs and cicadas serenade you to sleep. And in the fall the open windows of your cabin will let in the songs of the crickets in the forest around you.

Local Attractions...come see the Pileated Wood Pecker
Our area has plenty of things to do for those who desire to keep busy during their vacation. The Buffalo River is just about seven miles from the cabins. Canoe rentals are available at different locations on the river and you can put your canoes in the river at Ponca, which is just a few miles down the road in Newton County. The Buffalo National River also has numerous hiking trails from beginner to more advanced. One of the easier trails is Lost Valley, in the Boxley Valley.

If spelunking is more your cup of tea, there are many caves in the Ozarks to explore. Some of them are easy to explore, while others require more experienced adventurers. Maps and information are available at our office.

For those who are interested in historical sites, Kingston and Boxley are just a couple of the historic locations close by. Kingston has two buildings listed on the National Historic Register, the Bank of Kingston and Bunch Store, both located on the Square. The Villines Mill at Boxley and Boxley Valley Historic District are also on the register.

A wealth of research material for those interested in genealogy is available at the societies, museums, libraries, and courthouses in the area. Historical and genealogical societies in Berryville, Harrison, Jasper, Eureka Springs, and Huntsville are known for their collections and friendly service to visitors.
