Cemetery From Highway 64 and 105 in Atkins,
Arkansas, go south on HW 105 for 3.5 miles to the junction of South Shore
Road. Turn right on South Shore Road and go west for .1 mile to church on
right of road. Cemetery is behind the church. Approximately 75 unmarked
graves, possibly more. |
Anthony
Cemetery We did not find this cemetery when we were re-copying the cemeteries. It is located somewhere south of the Russellville Airport.
The entry from the old cemetery book: Family Cemetery southeast of town. It has not been used in many years and only one headstone with a name on it. There were probably a dozen or more graves here before being trompled down by cattle.

Cemetery From General Store in Appleton, go east on Highway 124 for .1 mile, turn left and go .3 miles. Cemetery on right at Appleton Presbyterian Church. Fenced and well kept. Approximately 258 unmarked graves.

From the junction of Highways 64 and 105 South in Atkins, go south on Highway 105 for .4 miles. Cemetery on right.

From the junction of I40 and Highway 7 in Russellville, go north on Highway 7 for 2.3 miles to Center Valley Road. Turn right on Center Valley Road and go .5 mile. Cemetery on left in curve of road just across bridge. |

Cemetery From the junction of Highway 7 and Linker
Mountain Road north of Russellville, go west on Linker Mountain Road for
1.2 miles to the junction of Beaumont Beach Road. Turn left on Beaumont
Beach Road and go .7 mile to Dead End sign. Go straight for .2 mile, tuen
turn left for 100 yards. Cemetery on your right. Fenced with eigh unmarked
graves. It is about a mile north of Cagle Cemetery and across the Illinois
Bayou. |
Bell Family
Cemetery From highway 64 in Atkins, go
south on highway 105 to junction of Atkins Bottom Road. Turn left on
Atkins Bottom Road and go east for 2.2 miles to junction. Turn right at
junction and go 2.3 miles to Willow Bend Road. Turn right on Willow Bend
road and go 1.4 miles to a pair of post on your left with a cable across
driveway into field. Cross cable and walk north for 150 yards along west
side of timbered area and old house place. Located under 20 feet by 30
feet concrete slab on your right in undergrowth. |
Boiling Springs Cemetery
From Highway 27 in Hector, turn west (left) on Elm Street beside the supermarket. Follow Elm Street until it turns into Gunter Mountain Road. This cemetery is on the left 1.5 miles from the junction of Highway 27 and Elm Street on Gunter Mountain Road.

Bonds Cemetery From the Junction of Highways 7
and 27 in Dover, go north of Highway 7 for 1.6 miles to junction of Highway 333.
Turn left and go 1.3 miles. Cemetery is located on the point behind Jorgensen’s
hog barn. |

junction of Highways 7 and 16 at Pelsor, go east on Highway 16 for .7 mile
to the junction of Pope County Road 80 (Jim Road). Turn right on 80 and go
south for 3.7 miles to junction of County Road 81 (Boyd Road). Turn left
on 81 and go for 3.2 miles. Cemetery on the left. Fenced and clean.
Decoration held on the 4th Sunday in May. |
Bringle Cemetery From the junction of Highway 7 and 27 in Dover, go south on Highway 7 for .9 mile to Slab Town Road at Regions Bank. Turn left on Slab Town Road, go 1.2 miles past Boley house to gate in pasture fence on the right. Cemetery is located in pasture approximately .4 mile.

Service Road #1000), go 4.1 miles. Turn right on Brock Cemetery Road and

Cemetery From the junction of highways 7
and 27 in Dover, go north on highway 7 for 14.3 miles. There will be a
utility pole on your right just past a woods road driveway. There is what
appears to be, a rock crypt directly behind this utility pole on the edge
of this bench. |

north on highway 164 for 5.3 miles. Cemetery on left. Grown up.

Burgess
Cemetery From the junction of highways 64 and 333
in London, go northeast on 333 for 6.3 miles to the junction of County
Road #119. Turn left on 119 and go for .7 mile to log house on left. Turn
left through metal gate on west side of log house. Go through second metal
gate and follow pasture road tor .2 mile to cemetery. It is fenced and
well kept. |
Cagle
Cemetery Located at Wheeler Bend on the Illinois
Bayou. From the Junction of Highway 7 and Pleasant View Road just north of
Russellville, go west on Pleasant View Road for 1.8 miles to the junction
of Wheeler Bend Road. Turn right on Wheeler Bend Road and go north for 1.4
miles to end of road. Cross cattle guard and go across Clifton Andrews
farm for 1 mile. Located on east side of farm pond. This cemetery has also
been referred to as 'Old Williamson'. I counted nineteen unmarked graves,
with five of them being outside the fence. |
Camp Ground Cemetery
From Highway 27 in Hector, turn west (left) on Elm Street beside the supermarket. Follow Elm Street until it turns into Gunter Mountain Road. This cemetery is on the left 1.5 miles from the junction of Highway 27 and Elm Street on Gunter Mountain Road.

Cemetery From the junction of Highway 7 and Linker
Mountain Road north of Russellville, go west on Linker Mountain Road for
1.2 miles to the junction of Beaumont Beach Road. Turn left on Beaumont

Cemetery In the middle
of a field about 1/4 mile southwest of the junction of Highways 16 and 27
west of Tilly, Arkansas. This would be on the north side of Highway 27.

Cemetery From the
junction of Highway 7 South and Lock and Dam Road, go west on Lock and Dam
Road 1.4 miles. Turn right on Shepherd Drive. Go .2 mile to 1st drive on
left. Cemetery sign is located by this drive. Cemetery is in pine grove on
the left of drive on the hill. Very grown up 10 Apr 1996. Approximatley 59
unmarked graves we could count. There could be many
more. |
Cobb
Cemetery From the junction of Highways 6 and 27 in Dover, go northeast on Highway 27 for .7 mile to junction of Pine Hill Road. Turn left on Pine Hill Road and go .8 mile to Y. Take left Y for .7 mile to crossroads. Turn left and go 1 mile, then turn right and go .2 miles to left fork. Take left fork and walk 600 yards, turn right and follow fence for 400 yards to farm road and a metal gate. Turn left on farm road and walk 400 yards. Cemetery is out in the woods on your right about 50 feet.

Cemetery From the
junction of Highways 7 and 123 at Pelsor, Arkansas (Sand Gap), turn left
on Highway 123 and go 3.3 miles. Cemetery is on the left.

Cemetery From the
supermarket in Hector, go north on Highway 27 for 20.6 miles. This is .5
mile north of the junction of Highway 16 and 27 on 27. Directly across the
road from Dennard Aday's mail box, follow a dim woods road to the
southwest for 290 yards. Cemetery is on your right, about 60 yards off
this road. There ae 26 graves total. 1 is a rock crypt. Only 2 graves are
marked. |
Cowan
Cemetery...has photo album Take Highway 164 North from junction of Highway 27 at
Scottsville fo 5.2 miles, turn left on Forest Service Road #1310 for 6
miles, turn left on Forest Service Road #1815, go .5 miles. Cemetery on
left. |
Dare
Cemetery...has photo album and map From junction of highways 7 and 27 in Dover, go north on
highway 7 for 18.5 miles. Cemetery on right...September 15, 1994, plus
those who have died since then. |
Epperson
Cemetery From the junction of Highways 27
and 164 in Scottsville, go northeast on 164 for 4.8 miles to the bridge
over North Fork of the Illinois Bayou. Walk north up the old road to the
old Clark Goates homeplace about 1/4 mile. The Forest Service has built a
small food plot here that still has a walnut tree out in the middle. These
two graves are located on the crest of the ridge above the creek. Mr.
Epperson died and the creek was too high to cross to get to the cemetery.
His wife died within a few days and was also buried on the old homeplace.

Highway 7 for 23.2 miles. Cemetery on right abut 100 yards off the
highway. Approximately 30 graves, wtih only four of them marked. Grown up.

Cemetery This cemetery is located on
Raspberry Knob. From the Junction of Highways 16 and Old Highway 27 east
of Pelsor, go northeast for 1.8 miles. There is an old dim road going back
to the southwest from the highway right of way on the left. Follow this
road for about 100 yards. |
Howell
Cemetery From the
junction of Highway 7 South and Lock and Dam Road, go west on Lock and Dam
Road 1.4 miles. Turn right on Shepherd Drive. Go .2 mile to 1st drive on
left. Cemetery sign is located by this drive. Cemetery is in pine grove on
the left of drive on the hill. Very grown up 10 Apr 1996. Approximatley 59
unmarked graves we could count. There could be many

Jamison
Cemetery This cemetery is located at the
south end of Dover Middle School (the old high school building) on College
Hill. It was destroyed during and after building of the school and is now
used as a parking lot. I remember it still being there when I graduated in
1959. It was very small and had a short wire fence around it. This
cemetery was located on the old Jamison homestead. |
Jones
Cemetery...has photo album From the junction of Highways 27 and 164 in Scottsville, go
north on 164 for 5.1 miles. Turn left on Forest Service Road # 1310 and go
north for 13.3 miles. Ther is an old road going north from where 1310
turns east. Walk north on this old road for about 1/8 mile. Cemetery
located just north of the old Jones house. Watch for open dug well.
Approximately 130 graves in this cemetery with only two of them marked.
(Later found two with carving on rocks.) |
Kinslow
Cemetery From the general store in Appleton, go west on Highway 124 for .5 mile, turn right and go .3 mile through pasture and two gates to barn. Cemetery is behind the barn located on Veo Coffman farm. It is grown up. The old cemetery book done by Pope County Historical Association about 1969 indicated there are 103 unmarked graves. We did not find that many. Five are rock crypts with no names or dates. Copied about 1995 by James and Alta Ballard |

in Dover, go north on Highway 7 for 5.5 miles to junction of Highway 164. Turn left
on 164 and go northwest for 2.9 miles to junction of Linsey Road. Turn left on Linsey
Road and go south for 1.4 miles. Cemetery on right on the old Linsey farm.

Supermarket in Hector, go north on Highway 27 for 1.6 miles to the juction
of White Oak Mountain Road. Turn right on this road and go northeast for
14.2 miles. Cemetery is on the lieft. There are signs on the highway to
show the way and also on top of White Oak Mountain.

Supermarket in Hector, go north on Highway 27 for 1.6 miles to the juction
of White Oak Mountain Road. Turn right on this road and go northeast for
14.2 miles. Cemetery is on the lieft. There are signs on the highway to
show the way and also on top of White Oak Mountain.

Norristown Cemetery
From the junction of Highway 7 and 7 Spur (Dardanelle Lock and Dam Road) south of Russellville, turn right on 7 Spur , go .5 mile to Dow Chemical Plant Road. Turn lef on Dow Chemical Plant Road, go .3 mile to meatl gate on right. Cross gate and go 300 yards southwest.
Cemetery on left behind Dow’s park and jogging trail. 68 unmakred graves. This is a fairly large area with three mounds located on it. Most of the graves are located on these mounds.

located 5.5 map miles north of the bridge up Middle Fork of the Illinois
Bayou. Cemetery is on the right of the road, just before the road crosses
Middle Fork and just south of where Meyers Branch runs into Middle Fork.

miles. Turn right on Treat Road (Pope County Road No. 14, gravel) for 7.5
miles. Take Pope County Road No. 169 (dead end) for .2 mile. Cemetery is
on your left. Approximatley 198 unmarked graves. |

Cemetery These two graves are located .7
miles northeast of the junction of Highways 7 and 27 in Dover on Highway
27. The cemetery is on the right in the front yard of a house, just before
the junction of Highway 27 and Pine Hill Road. This property on one time
belonged to this family. |
Watkins
Cemetery From the supermarket in Hector, go
north on Highway 27 toward Tilly for 22.3 miles. One grave inside a rock
pen on the right side of the road. |
Watts
Cemetery From the supermarket in Hector, go
north on Highway 27 for 23.1 miles. Turn right on farm road and go .6 mile
to pasture gate. Go through gate and about .5 miles further. Located on
the old Asa 'Sweet' Watts farm. There are approximately 12 graves here
with only three of the marked. |
Wiley
Cemetery From the
general store building in Appleton, go east on Highway 124 for .1 mile,
turn left on County road by old school building. Go 2 miles and turn
right, then go .9 mile across a low water bridge. Take left Y and then
turn right up hill for .4 mile to cemetery. On the way to this cemetery
you will pass Appleton cemetery and church. |
Wright
Cemetery From the junction of Highways 7 and 27 in Dover, go north on Highway 7 for 5.5 miles to junction of Highway 164. Turn left on 164 and go 4.7 miles to Forest Service Road 1800 (Pilot Rock Road).
Take 1800 for .5 mile to Millsaps Lane, turn right and go 2.1 miles to locked steel gate. |
Zion Hill
Cemetery From the
supermarket in Hector, go north on Highway 27 for 19.7 miles to the
junction of Highways 16 and 27. Go east on Highway 16 for 2.4 milres.
