We are sorry to report the death of one of our oldest and most highly esteemed citizens, Mr. Henry Fellers. He was 77 years old and an old Union soldier. He leaves a wife and two unmarried children at home and several married ones in the country near. He was buried at the Rushing graveyard, where so many of his friends have been laid before him. We entend our heartfelt sympathy to the breaved ones. IN MEMORY OF H. S. FELLERS
The writer of these few lines has known Brother Fellers for twenty-five years or more, having had dealings with him in some way during all these years. He ever found him honest and straight in his dealings. He was a christian gentleman, a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church and gave liberally to build the church at Piney. So the church as well as his family has lost a great stake. But let us realize that our loss is his eternal gain, and try to so live that the end of this life be as peaceful as his was.
We buried him in the Rushing grave yard Nov. 18 amid the storm and rain.
