Jennifer Denise Fielding Utsler, 24, of Rogers died September 9, 2000, at Children's Hospital in Little Rock. She was born January 22, 1976, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Edward and Frances Fielding. She moved to Rogers in 1982 and was employed by Health South Hospital in Fayetteville. She was a certified nursing assistant.

Survivors include three children, Dylan, Mallory and Andrew, all of Rogers; her parents of Rogers; one brother, Frank Russell of Silverthorne, Colo.; grandparents, Marion and Artie Fielding of Rogers; grandmother, Janice Murtaugh of Frederick, Md.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today at the Rogers Seventh-day Adventist Church in Rogers. Cremation arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.{mn}

William Lewis King died at his home in Gainsville, Texas at 9 o'clock last Tuesday morning, July 8, 1924. He had been ill for the past two weeks and critically so the last few days. The funeral services and burial took place in Gainsville where he has resided for the past twenty-five years.

W. L. King was born in Clarksville, Arkansas on November 16, 1865. He was the son of Mrs. Sarah King who passed away in this city five years ago. His father, William Nelson King, died in 1886. At the time of the latter's death Will, as his friends called him, was twenty-one years of age, with five younger brothers and sisters. He remained at home with his mother and took the responsibility of the family until they were old enough to care for themselves. During that time Miss Elizabeth King, the eldest daughter, died after a long illness.

Mr. King for many years was a clerk for the firm of T.K. May and Son and was known by everyone to be one of the most affable and courteous of young men.

He was married some twenty-two years ago to Miss Frances Latour, who died one year later leaving a baby daughter, Sarah Frances, who is well known and loved by many persons here, because of her long sojourn in this city with her grandmother. Mr. King was married again in 1915 to Miss Ethel Bogan of Texas City.

For the past twenty-five years Mr. King has been a traveling salesman and has considerable stock in the Smith-McCord Dry Goods Company of Kansas City. He was a member of the Methodist church and was faithful in his duties in every walk of life. He was kind hearted generous and open minded. His keen insight to human nature and his ready adaptibility to circumstances made for him a host of friends.

Mr. King leaves, besides his wife and daughter, Mrs. Sarah Frances Garrett, his small son William Lewis King, 9 years of age; two brothers, Joe B. King of Clarksville and James King of Waco, Texas; Two sisters; Mrs. Beulah Laster and Mrs. Sadie Pennington of this city. {hd}

Funeral services for Don C. Cox have been scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2006 at the Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Odell Carpenter will officiate, assisted by Rev. Danny Phillips. Jeff Cushing will do the Eulogy. Burial will be in Park Grove Cemetery under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.

Cox was born December 15, 1924 in Sanger, California, the son of Edgar and Ethel (Ruble) Cox. He died at his home in Broken Arrow on March 22, 2006. He was 81 years of age.

A 1942 graduate of Hopewell Community high school in Harrison, Arkansas, he married the former Miss Fern Massengale on June 4, 1943 in Branson, Missouri. Cox was a veteran of World War II and was awarded two bronze stars for heroism, multiple campaign medals and was one of the few U.S. Servicemen to be individually awarded the French Croix de Guerre with bronze star, France's highest military award. After military service, he worked for North American Aviation, Corvair, Douglas Aircraft and Rockwell International.

He is survived by wife Fern Cox, of the home, son Richard and wife Sue Cox, Broken Arrow, daughters, brothers Edgar 'Lefty' Cox, Bonaire, Georgia and Harold Cox, Sun City, California and 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

John Walter Williamson, 86, of Clarksville died Monday, July 24, 2006, in Clarksville. He was born January 25, 1920, in Ozark. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Harmony Presbyterian Church and retired freight company manager.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Harmony Cemetery in Clarksville.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; a daughter, Jo McCord of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Henry Shaddon, 108, of Dover Died Saturday January 7, 1978. He was a retired farmer and was the oldest resident of Pope County.

Survivers include: Seven Grandchildren, 35 Great grandchildren, and six great, great, grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rushing Cemetery. Burial will be by Shinn Funeral Service. Family Contact: Rose Underwood

Mrs. Henry Shaddon, 76, died at her home near Dover Thursday, December 18, 1958. She was born in Tennessee and was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Womack Mason. She had lived in Pope County most of her life and was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Sammie Shaddon and Robert Shaddon both of Dover; one brother, Jake Mason of Caldwell MO., one sister App. Vancamp of Fort Smith; six grandchildren adn two great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 from Rushing Cemetery, Burial will be in Rushing Cemetery by Shinn and Son Funeral Service. Family Contact: Rose Underwood

Mack David Waldron, 73, of Ozark died Monday, March 13, 2006, in Fort Smith. He was born Jan. 2, 1933, in Ozark; He was the son of the late Robert Lee and Rebeth Cagle Waldron. He was a retired mechanic for Ozark Ford, and a member of Ozark First Baptist Church.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount View Cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; four daughters, Patricia Timmons of Lincoln, Bonnie Weiser of Pensacola, Fla., Tina Cannon of Fayetteville, and Mahala Waldron of the home; a son, David Waldron of Garfield; six sisters, Donna Shelton of Broken Arrow, Okla., Lamona Phillips of Wasco Calif., Genell Crouch, Linda Watson, Judith Armstrong and Ermel Chancey, all of Ozark; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

G. C. Walker, known and beloved as 'Uncle Green' Walker, died at his home at Sandy Flat Monday, following an illness of several weeks of the infirmities of age, together with pneumonia and was buried in the Lunenburg Cemetery Tuesday afternoon.

'Uncle Green' was one of the county's oldest citizens, having been born 84 years ago on the farm where he died and is perhaps the only one of our citizens who had the distinction of having spent his entire life on the same farm.

He was one of the very, very few remaining Confederate veterans of Izard County, his death bringing the number of living veterans down to much less than a dozen.

Survived by his widow and five children, a small daughter Mabel, Mrs Gustava Williams, of Texas, B. R. Walker, Mrs Sibyl Harvell and Mrs Pearl Johnson of Lunenburg; Mrs Oral Andress of Melbourne and Mrs Nora Lewis of Lunenburg.

Funeral services were conducted at the grave by Eld. Oscar L. Hays, after which the remains were laid to rest. The Times extends sympathy to the bereaved relatives. {mt}

Austin McDonald, son of the late Benjamin McDonald, and Crete Johnson McDonald was born July 27, 1909, in Fryatt, AR and departed this life May 26, 1993, at his home in Mammoth Spring, AR, at the age of 83 years, nine months and 29 days.

He was united in marriage, July 4, 1950, in Mammoth Spring AR to Viola Sterling Herrick. He is survived by his wife, Viola of the home in Mammoth Spring AR. four children Diane Rogers of Bedford Texas, Charlotte Hurtt of Mammoth Spring AR, Sharon Nickless of Camdenton MO and Shirley Henley of Urbandale Iowa, five grandchildren, Kimberly, Bradley and Nathan Rogers, all of Bedford Texas. Rick Henley of Morrison Illinois, and Amy Henley of Urbandale, Iowa; four sisters, Opal Komm of Thayer, MO, Inez Coffenberry and Thelma Carter both of Kansas City MO, and Margie Smith of Mammoth Spring, AR, one special friend J.C. Robertson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sister Irene McDonald, Lorene Ladd, Enid Holloway, Alta Werbe, and one brother Vada McDonald.

Services held Saturday at Carter Funeral Home Chapel Thayer MO with brother Clovis Ragsdale. Internment was in Thayer Cemetery under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home, in Thayer.

Effie Armentha Boen, 86, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at her home. She was a retired cook, daughter of the late Suel M. and Sarah J. James Stepp, widow of W. T. Boen, Pentecostal, and was preceded in death by one brother, Efton Stepp, and two sisters, Anna Hammons and Gladys Case.

Survivors include two daughters, Fay Knuckles and husband, Joe, of Lamar and Kay Davis and husband, James, of Fallsville; one son, Odell Boen of Clarksville; one brother, Reuben Stepp of Clarksville; one sister, Elva M. Boen of Tulsa, Okla.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-aunt, Iva Moore of Lamar.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Salus Free Holiness Church with Rev. Clayton Rylee and Rev. Robert Boen officiating. Burial was in the Rosetta Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Glenn Stepp, Keith Stepp, Dolen Stepp, Ronnie Stepp, Ed Kimbriel and Cordell Harderson. Honorary pallbearers were Hearl Boen, Christopher Boen, Brent Cook, Lane Davis, Dawson Boen, and Delorn Stepp.

Will Fuller, 80 of Jacksonville (Pulaski County), died unexpectedly Saturday night at Lincoln of an apparent heart attack. A former resident of Ozark, he was born December 23, 1890 in Logan County. He was a retired barber.

Mr. Fuller was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae Wann Fuller. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Wikoff of Jacksonville, Mrs. Bill Hopkins of Wichita, Kansas, and Mrs. Charles Fowler of Yreka, California; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Ozark by Rev. Paul Wilhelm. Burial was at Highland Cemetery by Greer Funeral Home. {os}
