Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel in Benton with 2:30 p.m. graveside service at Pickens Cemetery in Green Forest. Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 at the funeral home. The daughter of Humphrey and Maggie Holland was born Aug. 20, 1916 in Maben, Miss. Milton Kenneth Bublitz, 70, of Bella Vista died July 30, 2000, at Bates Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Hart, Minn., to John and Linda Gielow Bublitz. He and his wife moved to Bella Vista five years ago from Winona, Minn. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Bentonville and was a master carpenter and a farmer. He was a baseball pitcher for 17 years and enjoyed golfing, bowling and hunting. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Bublitz of Bella Vista; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Bublitz and Selma of Winona and Mitchell Bublitz and Jan Deen of Houston, Minn.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan Brett and Jim of Houston, Minn., Stacy Fredrickson and Mark of Winona, and Shannon Turley of Batavia, Ill.; two brothers, Marlin 'Bud' Bublitz and Karroll Bublitz, both of Winona; six grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today at Faith Lutheran Church in Bentonville with the Rev. Todd Jones officiating. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory. Joyce Gilbert, 71, of Springdale died July 31, 2000, at Holland Nursing Center-West in Springdale. She was born April 13, 1929, in Greenville, Ky., to Polie and Ivyl Pepper Robertson. She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for the elderly. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hulan Thomas and Norman Land. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Lee Gilbert of the home; four sons, Stan Thomas, Butch Thomas and Michael Thomas, all of Fayetteville, and Dale Land of Springdale; one daughter, Nona Fay Fleming of Fayetteville; one brother, Duran Robertson of Hopkinsville, Ky.; one sister, Mary E. Martin of Fayetteville; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Don Elmore officiating. Wilma H. Hunt, 72, of Springdale died July 29, 2000, at Springdale. She was born Jan. 13, 1928, in Eastland, Texas, to Emerson Willard and Gertrude Elizabeth Kimmas Hollenbeck. She was a homemaker. She attended Berry Street Baptist Church and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Moose Lodge. Her husband, James Hunt, preceded her in death in 1992. Survivors include three brothers, Howard Hollenbeck, Tom Hollenbeck and Emerson Hollenbeck Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. Wilma Lea McNeely, 51, of Jasper, died Friday, June 15, 2001 at Marble Falls. She was born March 11, 1950 at Harrison the daughter of Ross and Frankie Daniels Smith. Funeral was 10 a.m. Monday, June 18, at Coffman Chapel in Jasper with David Shekels and Donna Maybee officiating. Burial was in Shaddox Cemetery at Pruitt.
Survivors are her mother, Frankie Smith of Jasper; a daughter Rana Smalley and husband Quincy of Harrison; a brother, Dennis Smith and wife Melinda of Marble Falls; two sisters, Wanda Waters and husband R.L. of Marble Falls and Sharon Parker and husband Charlie of Jasper; two grandchildren, Charlie and Payton Smalley of Harrison; eight nieces and nephews and 11 great-nieces and nephews. Webb Linch, age 76, of Harrison, died Thursday, October 14, 2004, at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. He was born September 22, 1928, in Harrison, the son of William Finis and Anna Lee (Penifold) Linch. Webb was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and a brother.
Greely Kirkpatrick and Stephen Powers will officiate the funeral service.

J. V. Jones was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. He was a 32 Degree Mason. He worked for eighteen years at Boone County Hardware; 16 1/2 years in the maintenance department at the Vo Tech College; and nine years as a park attendant at Tucker Hollow Park. J. V. Jones is survived by his wife, Anna Mae (Massengale) Jones, of Harrison; his step-daughter, Lynda Couch, of Marino Valley, California; his sister, Charldene Sparks, of Marble Falls, Arkansas; numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews; great-great-nieces; and a host of other family and friends throughout the community. Rev. David Smith will officiate the funeral service. Pallbearers are David Sparks, Danny Sparks, Arlis Dale Jones, Noel Pronger, Ronnie Chasteen, Arlis Darrell Jones and F. M. Massengale. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Sparks, Mae Gwartney, Kenneth Greer, Bob Holtby, Jimmy McAlpin and all his Masonic brothers. Interment will be in White Church Cemetery. |

The son of Theodore Rosevelt and Mary Elizabeth Poyner Self was born May 22, 1943 at Mt. Sherman. He was a heavy equipment operator and had lived in Newton County most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Idis and Ray Self; and a son, Ronald Eugene Self. He is survived by his wife, Monica Dillow Self of the home; one daughter, Diane Mathis of Sedalia, Mo and three stepchildren, Jerry Ray Dillow of Arlington, Tex., Gerald Michael Dillow of Mt. Sherman and Juanita Lynn Parsons of Irving, Tex.; two sisters, Lorna Raney of Missouri and Nada Pruitt Otta of Arizona; two brothers, Warren Self of Mt. Sherman and Dale Kent Self of Lebanon, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.{nct} |

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m Friday, Aug. 19 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boxley. Pallbearers will be Roger Edgmon, Randall Edgmon, Robert Edgmon, Kelvin House, Paul Villines and Conard Villines. Honorary pallbearers include grandsons and great-grandchildren, Junior Fowler, Bill Duty, Bill Fowler, Ott Young and Perry Davidson. The son of the late Lewis and Deila House was born Dec. 4, 1925 at Low Gap. Dennis served his country in the Navy before he retired as a state livestock inspector. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and truly enjoyed the outdoors. He spent many, many hours in his front yard swing and keeping up with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Delbert House and a sister, Reba Reynolds. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Betty House of the home; one son, Jimmy House and wife Kaye of Ponca; three daughters, Judy McKinnon and husband Don of Springdale, Janet Harper of Springdale and Becky Davidson and husband Danny of Kingston; eight grandchildren, Jamie House, Todd House and wife Kortnie, Keisha Stearle and husband Ryan, LCPL Ray McKinnon of Iraq, Tyler Harper, Linsey Sims and husband Bobby, Nathan Davidson and Courtney Davidson; and three great-grandchildren, Justin House, Baylie House and Logan House and Hanah Young who he thought of as a granddaughter; one brother, Argie House and wife Chris of Harrison; and one sister, Edith Boling of Red Bud, Ill. along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. {hdt} |

Julia Ann Heins, 82, of Pea Ridge, Ark., died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Heritage Park Nursing Home in Rogers, Ark. She was born Dec. 10, 1921, in Mundell, Ark., to Jerry Mia David and Gertrude Maria Izabella Higginbotham David. She moved from her farm in the Shady Grove community, Ark., to Pea Ridge 15 years ago. She was a Methodist. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Elward Heins; a son, David Heins; an infant daughter; two sisters, Ruth Evelyn David and Dortha Kelsay; and a brother, Edgar David. Survivors include a grandson, Craig Heins of Ventura, Calif.; two brothers, Jerry David of Bentonville, Ark., and Calvin David of Pea Ridge; and three sisters, Bonnie Mayfield of California; Louise Fine of Filer, Idaho, and Eva Birchfield of Chamberland, S. D. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 11, at Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge. Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 12, at the Union Chapel Cemetery in Garfield, Ark., with the Rev. Anthony Lane.
