John D. Lively, a resident of Berryville, Arkansas, formerly of the Rudd community was born February 29, 1940 in Berryville, a son of William Henry and Ruby Clarice (Miller) Lively. He departed this life Saturday, October 2, 2004 in Berryville at the age of 64.

Mr. Lively was veteran having served his country with the U.S. Army. He was a wood crafter and also worked as a maintenance man and an electrician. He was a charter member of the Rudd Baptist Church.

He is survived by daughter, Shari and husband Ray Harvey of Huntsville, Arkansas; son Tim and wife Patty Lively of Oak Grove, Arkansas; son Ty and wife Hope Lively of Berryville; daughter Debbie Bean of Eureka Springs; daughter, Sandy and husband Mike Arcand of Harrison, Arkansas; daughter Phyllis and husband Daniel Snow of Pyatt, Arkansas; one sister, Maudine of Arizona; twenty-two grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several other relatives and many friends.

On September 17, 1979 he was united in marriage with Elsie Mae (Billups) Lively who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Terry and Jay Lively and other siblings. Gobbler Cemetery

James Clyde Chism, 85, of Fayetteville died May 20, 2001, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville He was born June 19, 1915, in Lindsay, Calif., to John Granville and Cora Ellen Stansberry Chism. He retired as the head of the physical-therapy department at Washington Regional Medical Center after 28 years there. He was a member of First Christian Church of Fayetteville and attended the North Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Fay Taylor Chism; one son, Stephen Chism of Fayetteville; two daughters, Laura Meyers of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Susan Hansen of Little Rock; three grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Siddoway of Whittier, Calif.; one brother, Rene Chism of Chico, Calif.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today at Oakland Cemetery in Russellville with the Rev. Thomas Morris officiating. Arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. {mn}

Beecher Edgmon, age 75, of Rogers, Arkansas, died November 25, 1990. He was born May 7, 1915, at Boxley, the son of Christopher and Darcus Edgmon. Mr. Edgmon was a receiving clerk for the Inland Storage Distribution Center in Kansas City, Kansas for 33 years, retiring in 1975 at which time he moved to Rogers. He was an avid bowler and was a Freewill Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Edgmon of the home; one son, Edward Edgmon of Butler, Missouri; one daughter, Jeannie Moore of Gravette; two Brothers, Walter Edgmon of Centerton and Harse Edgmon of Jasper; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Kella Marie McBee, 96, of Fort Smith, formerly of Clarksville, died Saturday, Oct. 11, at Sparks Regional Medical Center at Fort Smith. Born Dec. 5, 1906, at Fallsville, she was the daughter of the late William Butler and Florence Ledbetter Brown, widow of Graves McBee and a member of Calvary Baptist Church at Fort Smith.

Survivors include a son, Dorlon Snow of Bentonville; three daughters, Lois Brasher of Fort Smith, Betty Stumbaugh of Lubbock, Texas, and Dianna Foster of North Richmond Hills, Texas; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hardwicke Chapel by the Rev. Doug Hixson. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery by Hardwicke Funeral Service.

Nadine M. Roche, 78, of Streamwood, Illinois died Feb. 24, 2003, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove, Ill. She was born Oct. 15, 1924, in Kingston to George and Effie Jones Dorsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Roche.

Survivors include one daughter, Susan V. Scheitler of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Grace Bean and Christine Hallam, both of Huntsville; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Macel Van Brunt Clark 89, of Elkins, Arkansas, died May 12, 2001 at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born March 16, 1912 at Combs, (Mill Creek) Arkansas, the daughter of Smith Harrison and Ada Bell Wood Van Brunt. She was a homemaker, wife, and mother and lived most of her life in Washington County.

She was a member of the Elkins Church of Christ and was preceded in death by three sisters; Gladys Gobel, Berniece Spriggs, and Colleen Breschick and twin great grandsons.

She is survived by her husband, James A. Clark of the home. Three sons: Bobby H. Clark of the home, Max Clark and his wife Letha, of Huntsville, Arkansas and Bruce Clark and his wife, Vivian of Elkins, Arkansas. Two daughters, Virginia Harriman and her husband Gerald of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Charlotte Morris and her husband, William I. of Fort Smith, Arkansas. One brother, Elmer Van Brunt of Lompac, California. Three sisters, Dessie Basola and Jean Coffin both of San Diego, California, and Ethel Combs of Whittier California; ten grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Tim A. Cline, 31, of Rogers died February 6, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born February 12, 1969, in Little Rock to Cleburne Alvin and Darlene Huffmaster Cline. He was a musician, an artist and a waiter. He was a 1987 graduate of Rogers High School and was a member of Faith Assembly in Bentonville.

Survivors include two sons, Eric and Colton Cline, both of Rogers; his parents of Rogers; one sister, Tammy Warren of Berryville; maternal grandmother, Ola Mae Williams of Springdale.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Burns Funeral Home in Rogers with Harley Hutcheson officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.

Delia Love Dale was born in Tennessee, July 11, 1883 and passed away in Batesville, Arkansas, October 21, 1976, at the age of 93 years three months and ten days. She was a member of the New Home Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by 1 son, Everett Dale of Cushman; 4 daughters, Mrs. Vada Stafford and Mrs. Sepha Sims of Dexter, Missouri, Mrs. Snoda White of Mountain Home and Mrs. Avis Davis of Bethesda; 2 sisters, Mrs. Carrie Sipe and Mrs. Ora Davis of Sidney; 44 grandchildren; 75 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Ina Louise Graham Corbin, 82, of Siloam Springs died May 28, 2001, at her Home. She was born Sept. 6, 1918, in Pittsburgh, Kan., to Charles Henry and Ella Florence Criss Graham. She was a former longtime resident of the Durham and Elkins area and of Lenexa, Kan. She was a housewife and a member of First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Corbin, in 1988.

Survivors include one son, Michael E. Corbin of LaPorte, Texas; three daughters, Patricia Lee Corbin of the home and Brenda Irene Scoggin and Pamela Kay Triplett, both of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Erma Bailey and Edith McGee, both of Siloam Springs.

William Charles Dean, 58, of Bella Vista died May 16, 2001, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Oct. 14, 1942, in Hartford, Conn., to Louis and Virginia Takoris Dean. He moved to Bella Vista 10 years ago from Altus, Okla. He was a decorated pilot in the Air Force with 21 years of service.

Survivors include his parents; his wife, Linda Dean; one son, Michael Dean, all of Springdale; two brothters, Greg Dean of California and John Dean of Washington.

Nancy Carol Garton, 62, of Fayetteville died Nov. 8, 2002, at her home. She was born Oct. 17, 1940, in Huntsville to Ralph and Luna Howard Dryer. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor of science degree in education. She retired from the Fayetteville public school system after more than 20 years of teaching. She was a member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville.

Survivors include her husband, Keith B. Garton of the home; two sons, Darin V. Garton and wife Stacy of Granger, Ind., and Lyle K. Garton and wife Lisa of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter, Tammy Lawson and husband Fred of Carrollton, Texas; her mother, Luna Turner of Huntsville; nine grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville with the Rev. Charlie Brown officiating.

Geraldine Rose 'Sally' Zulpo, 67, of Tontitown died Nov. 25, 2001, at her home. She was born Nov. 4, 1934, at Porterville, Calif., to Frank Egidio Verucchi Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Schneier Verucchi.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown and a member of the Altar Society of the church. Sally was a family-oriented woman who served as a waitress at Mary Maestri's through the '70s and into the early '80s. She, along with her husband, Leon, then opened the Tontitown Z-Mart in 1986.

Sally later enjoyed having lunch at local restaurants with family and friends. Most of her free time was spent preparing family picture albums for her children and grandchildren. She loved time spent riding through the woods looking at the colors of fall. Sally's favorite television shows were 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' and 'Jeopardy.'

Survivors include her husband, Leon Zulpo, to whom she was married Nov. 6, 1952; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Adolph Zulpo and Debbie of Springdale, Mike Zulpo and Toni of Tontitown, Doug Zulpo of Springdale and Ben Zulpo of Fayetteville; four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Folladori and Jay of Jacksonville, Fla., Laura Reagan and Pete of Fayetteville, Lydia Bolen and Dick of Siloam Springs and Lisa Clayton and Mike of West Fork; one brother, Frank Verucchi Jr. of Garfield; one sister, Ellen Goff of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren.

Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today and Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Correnti officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.

Rentha Smith age 100 of Searcy, Arkansas died December 18, 1997. Mrs. Smith was born March 13, 1879 at Swain, Arkansas the daughter of Garrett Thomas and Polly Ann Watson. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a homemaker.

Millie McFee Counts, 97, of Springdale, died Sunday, October 3, 1999 at a Fayetteville hospital. She was born October 17, 1901 in Thorney, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Heatherley McFee. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Elkins and was precede in death by her husband, Paul O. Counts and a son, Everett 'Mickey' Counts.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, June and Jack Roles of Springdale, a daughter-in-law, Donna Counts of Elkins; five granddaughters, Dine Hammond, Dena Stockalper, and Dawn Brake of Elkins and Debbie Rogers, and Marina Boyt, both of Fayetteville. She is also survived by one grandson, Mike Counts, of Elkins in addition to 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Maxine J. Dial, 79, died May 26, 2001, in Austin, Texas, of complications arising from Alzheimer's Disease. Maxine was born Nov. 26, 1921, in Springdale, to Grace and Walter Jones. In spite of the premature death of her father and the economic hardship of the Depression, Maxine enjoyed a happy youth surrounded by the love and support of her mother and her sisters, Alice, Helen, Gladys and Mary Virginia. Following graduation from high school in 1939, Maxine moved to Amarillo, Texas, where she attended Amarillo College and, in 1941, married James Morris Dial. As a result of Morris' service in World War II, Maxine lived in Fort Worth and San Antonio, eventually returning to Amarillo near the end of the war. Her only son, Philip Stephen, was born in 1948. Morris' employment resulted in numerous moves for the family, including residence in Albuquerque, Dallas, Jackson, Miss., and Overland Park, Kan. Wherever she lived she maintained a close relationship with her mother and her sisters, whom she visited often. After her health declined, she returned to Springdale in 1995, where her sisters tirelessly cared for her, giving her six of the happiest years of her life.

Maxine was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother, a wonderful sister and a friend to many. She was a kind, caring and gentle person who loved to help others. She was active in the Methodist Church throughout her life. Maxine was an excellent homemaker and cook. She was a championship bridge player who loved to compete and win. One of her proudest accomplishments was her accumulation of master points as a duplicate-bridge player. Maxine loved Big Band music and was a skilled and enthusiastic dancer.

Maxine is survived by her son, Philip Dial and his wife, Christine, of Austin; grandsons, Justin Dial of New York and Evan Dial of Los Angeles; sisters, Helen Cravens, Gladys Harris and her husband, Warren, and Mary Virginia Hewitt and her husband, Harold, and niece Carol Whitten, all of Springdale; niece Judith Rogers and family of Oglesby, Ill.; niece Merry Lee Phillips and family of Fayetteville.

A memorial service will be held in June at the First United Methodist Church in Springdale. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Center for Brain Health, University of Texas at Dallas-Callier, 1966 Inwood Road, Dallas, Texas 75235. The family is extremely grateful for the loving care and support given by our wonderful friends, the staff and residents of the Barton House, Austin, Texas. Hunter D. Cline, 18, of Springdale died December 16, 1985 at Springdale Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 15,1967 at Jonesboro, the son of Eugene and Ruby Case Cline. He attended Springdale High School, was a member of the National Rifle Association and was employed by McDonald's. He attended the Westside Free Will Baptist Church. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.


Survivors include his parents; two brother, Michael Cline and Robert Cline both of the home; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Case of Springdale; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cline of Kingston and his paternal great-grandfather, Alvin Rogers of Kingston.

Alvin Mervin Diehl, 87 of Fayetteville, died April 21, 1999 at Meadowview Lodge Nursing Home in Huntsville. He was born December 23, 1911 at Dutton, Oklahoma, the son of Aaron and Lena Smith Diehl. He was a farmer and attended the Apostolic Faith Church in Crosses. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mozell Gertrude Diehl, to whom he was married on October 30, 1931 and who died on April 6, 1996. He was also precede in death by one sister, Mrs. Mildred Stone Taylor and by one niece, Mrs. Twyla Neeley.

Survivors include; one daughter and son-in-law, Alma Lou and Ed Brooks of Fayetteville; three granddaughters and two grandsons-in-law, Deanna and Ton Bodey of Farmington, Diane Sachs of Elm Springs, and Nancy and Bill Moore of Fayetteville; three great-grandsons, Jason Sachs of Elm Springs, Joshua Scott of Farmington and Adam Moore of Fayetteville; two great-granddaughters, Jennifer Holloway of Farmington and Venessa Moore of Fayetteville and one great-great-granddaughter, Jordan Holloway of Farmington.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 23 at the Crosses Church with Rev. Doyle Wiles and Rev. Calvin Stewart officiating. Patricia 'Patti' Dillen, 32, of Rogers died May 28, 2001, at Best. She was born Oct. 5, 1968, in Enid, Okla., to Kenneth Ray and Pat Foley Horne. She was an inventory and control clerk for Moser Corp. in Rogers. She was a member of the Christian Life Cathedral in Bentonville, where she was a coordinator of the missionette program. Her husband, Robert Scott Dillen, died the same day. They were married Sept. 2, 1989, in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include two sons, Cody Scott Dillen and Christian Alexander Dillen, both of the home; her mother and stepfather, Pat and Sam Tenney of Oklahoma City; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Horne of Walters, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Horne of McCloud, Okla., and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Horne of Flower Mound, Texas; one stepsister, Kim Peery of Edmond, Okla.

Robert Scott Dillen, 37, of Rogers died May 28, 2001, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born June 10, 1963, in Enid, Okla., to Billy D. and Deanie Key Dillen. He was a CNC machinist for Kenna Metal in Bentonville and a member of Christian Life Cathedral in Bentonville. His wife, Patricia Home Dillen, died the same day. They were married Sept. 2, 1989, in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include two sons, Cody Scott Dillen and Christian Alexander Dillen, both of the home; his father and stepmother, Bill Dillen and Gloria of Rogers; his mother and stepfather, Deanie and Johnie Wright of Edmond, Okla.; one brother, Michael Todd Dillen of Flower Mound, Texas; maternal grandmother, Agness Dillen of Harrison.

Larry Dodson, age 48, a resident of Dover, Arkansas, died Monday, January 29, 2001 at his home. He was born on January 23, 1953 at Lurton to Carl and Perilla (Breedlove) Dodson. He married Kathryn Carney on March 15, 1974 at Nail. Mr. Dodson was employed with ConAgra in their maintenance department, and attended Arkansas Tech University. He was a member of the Falling Water Church and was a devoted husband and father.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Dodson of the home, 3 sons: Clifton of Russellville, Joel and Micah both of Dover; one daughter, April Dodson of Russellville; 2 grandchildren: Bailey Dodson and Alexis Gering both of Russellville; his parents, Carl and Perilla Dodson of Deer; 4 brothers: Rick Dodson of Harrison, Mike Dodson of Dover, Robert Dodson of Deer and Aaron Dodson of Falling Water; 4 sisters: Gail Roberts of Harrison, Donna Rocole of Deer, Connie Humphrey of Witt Springs and Julie Chisum of Dover; 36 nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2001 at the Falling Water Church officiated by Rev. Lester Chisum and Rev. Donnie Chisum. Burial will be at the Deer Cemetery at Deer under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation was from 6-8, Wednesday at the funeral home. {nct}
