Harold Borland was born September 18, 1835 in North Carolina, a son of United States Senator Solon Borland. Katie Davis was Harold's first wife;
his second marriage was to Janie Frith on April 26, 1891 in Prairie County, Arkansas. The 1920 census lists Harold Borland
as an inmate of the Confederate Home at Sweet Home, Pulaski County, Arkansas; he was residing there at the time of his
death, July 20, 1921.
