James Aydelott was born January 22, 1859 in Tennessee to Abner Aydelott and Martha Peery/Perry; he died circa 1916/17 Mt. Judea, Newton County, Arkansas.

James' first marriage was to Catherine Meece, January 22, 1880 in Tennessee. Catherine was daughter of Thomas Meece and Margaret Duncan; she died February 4, 1894 in Tennessee.

James' second marriage was to Etta Miles, July 7, 1895 also in Tennessee. Henrietta was daughter of George Miles and Sarah Weaver; she died May 27, 1903 in Mount Hersey, Newton County, Arkansas.

James' thrid marriage was to Sarah Gertrude Martin, May 1, 1904 in Boone County, Arkansas.

Wife Etta Miles Aydelott and wife Sarah Gertrude Martin Aydelott are both buried in Aydelott Cemetery in Newton County, Arkansas.

James' fourth marriage was to Rachel Harrison, July 26, 1906 in Newton County, Arkansas. Rachel was daughter of Thomas Harrison and Mary York; she died October 25, 1959 in Boone County, Arkansas.
