Judy, I have come into possession of the Bethel Freewill Baptist Church Records. This church was organized July of 1925 and ceased to exist at that location circa 1967. The new Bethel Church was organized October 1, 2001 at a different location and was
dedicated to Herman Lewis and my dad, Owen Harvell, both of whom pastored the old church.
There are baptism records, marriages records, death records and other items of interest in these records. |
![]() Most of these are mentioned in the church record, but two or three were overlooked... |
|
Bethel Freewill Baptist Church was located in Township 16 north, Range 8 west, on the east fork of the Rocky Bayou
just off the Rose Trail. That part of the Rose Trail between the Tanner Hollow and Tate Roads. A township map (by Roger Harvell) showing
location appears below, at end of transcribed record.
A Special Thank You to Jack Helms of Sidney, Arkansas for providing photocopies of these records. Transcribed by Roger Harvell and Sonia Stroud...[Transcript as near as possible to original record] Name Index |
