Newton County, Arkansas
A post office was established at Mt. Judea on May 22, 1856, with Jesse Brewer as first postmaster. Isaiah Dodson was first post master of Cave Creek, established August 23, 1855. A post office was established at Vendor October 29, 1889, Ephraim B. Greenhaw was first post master. Red Rock post office was established July 10, 1875, with William R. Jones as post master. Bass post office was established March 20, 1902, Alfred R. Dickey was first post master.
