Newton County, Arkansas
A post office was established at Compton on April 8, 1887, John T. Compton was first post master. On September 28, 1883 a post office was established at Dinsmore, Nathaniel Bunch was post master.
A post office was established at Erbie October 2, 1915, first post master was Simon A. Lawson.
The community of Noah was also in this area, later known as George...a post office was established at Noah on June 28, 1883, Clark Newberry was post master. On December 18, 1918 a post office was established at George, Kissa A. Newberry was post master. Stoverville is about three miles below George, Abraham Stover was the post master there when an office was established October 3, 1912.
The Crossroads community is located in this area, with church and cemetery.
