Uncle John McCutcheon, one of the old residents on the mountain east of Leslie, died Thursday, Nov. 27th after a long illness of fever. He was well advanced in years. He was a painter by trade and followed the avocation for a living up to the time of his illness. When he realized the end was near he expressed the wish that his remains be laid to rest as close to his home as possible and he was buried just outside the house yard. He leaves an aged wife and several children to mourn his demise.
