As written by Wanda Conley of California, a descendant of Jacob and Mary Glenn... Glenco Cemetery was started during the Civil War when three soldiers lost their lives there in a skirmish. When the armies moved on, leaving their dead, women of the Dugger family buried the three soldiers on this small hill. It is unknown if the soldiers were Rebels or Yankees.
Laurie Carrell writes: The area is where the Jacob Glenn family lived and others settled around there too. They traded crops, shared their various skills and at some point the settlement became known as Glenco for this Glenn family. At one time, there was a Post Office and of course the railroad. But now, all that is left is the Glenco Cemetery, located on a small hill in the valley west of the home site of Jacob and Mary Glenn. Their barn finally fell in the late 1970s.
I believe this area is sometimes referred to as Dugger's Mill...OR they were so close to each other they overlapped.
