Located 2.3 miles north of Lamar, Arkansas on Highway 359. Cemetery on left of highway in a curve. I started on the west side of the cemetery where the drive is located and listed each row from south to north. There are many unmarked graves with just rocks in this cemetery. It was very hard to keep track of the rows. Some have a rock at the head and foot and others only one rock. November 2005...

Row four is all rocks, no names or dates on them. There are three graves up by the road, two about middle of the row and one at the back of the cemetery.

The next nine names are all on one large white stone beside a large oak tree. They are all of the same family, the wife with her two husbands and all her children.

This next marker is broken in three pieces and is
a home made marker, has been painted gray

Maden, Aunt Jennie no dates 
Sacred to the memory of Aunt Jennie Maden, colored, who was my nurse and caretaker after my mother’s death when I was 3 years old. Her age was about 88 years when death claimed her, 23 years ago. She was faithful to the end of her life. A salute to her by Mrs. J. H. Simpson.

Note: I found Jennie Madden in the 1870 and 1880 census of Johnson County, Arkansas. She was born about 1815 according to the census.

The next eleven names are all on the same marker. The top of it has been broken off. The part with the names is off the base and leaning against the base. The names are on all four sides of this marker. I started on the south and went around to west, then north, then east.
