Abby's, birth Name was Arthur B. Garner, I don't know where the Abby Henderson Garner came from. I had found on several things the Intials
A. B., that is probably were the Abby came from. Still don't know where the Henderson comes from but Aby or Abby, was a childhood, nickname.
Found it when he was 15 and living in the home of his sister Nancy Izell, listed there as Aby. Looks like A. B. turned into Aby or Abby.

Service papers state that he was born in Banse, Arkansas. On his birth certificate it says he was born in Midland, Arkansas.
Birth and death certificates state he was born on June 22, 1917. SS made a mistake.

Registration District # 3808-Registered # 8...father listed as Henry G. Garner with birthplace of father as Tennessee. Birth place of
mother Arkansas. I asked my uncles, Lester and Chester, about a Henry G. Garner, being listed as his father, they both said it must
of been a mistake. For a long time, I thought that Henry G. may have been Abby's dad. Now haven't a clue.
Death Certificate just has 0700 on it, i believe that is the County, Number for Contra Costa county, CA. Not sure about that.
I have Daddy's, Military papers. His last job before the service was at the Big Four Foundry--Hartford Stree-Tulsa, OK He was a coremaker.
SS death Index, has Daddy, as being born June 22, 1915, he was born June 22, 1917 I went to the Social Security office in Clinton, Oklahoma
and showed them the birth and death certificates, and they did change it

Funeral Services For J. A. Gallion Set Wednesday
Funeral services for James albert Gallion, who died Monday are scheduled at 4 p.m., Wednesday, in te Mills-Humphrey Chapel.
Rev. Frank DiMiceli, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery [McAlester, OK] Mills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Gallion, 62, was a retired machiniest at the U. s. Navel Ammunition. He worked there some 25 years before retiring two years ago.
He was born June 19, 1909 at Alderson and lived there and at Krebs, all of his life.
Survivors include his wifem Elizabeth, of the home: a daughter Mrs. Norma Williams, route ! Coalgate; two sons, Jerry Gallion, route 5, McAlester and James Alford [Gallion], Los Angeles, Calif: a brother Frank E. Peckio of Krebs: 10 grandchildren and ewo great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Nick and Dominic DeGiacomo, Dick Wether, Joe Mickella, John Bonat and Danny Peckio. Honorary pallbearers will be employees at NAD machine shop.
