William L. House In Civil War
William Lum House pension application...Family legend has him shot in head at Shiloh on April 6-7, 1862 and made his way back to Searcy County. He is found later on muster rolls of Freeman's Missouri Cavalry in Company C. This unit was based around Mammoth Springs and his first son, James Henry House was born there in 1864.
