Major Clayton Loggains
Major was born 1824 in Jefferson County Alabama to John Clayton and Margaret Wear Loggains. He married December 25, 1844 in Jefferson County to Sarah Mullins. She was born February 19, 1826 in Blount County Alabama to Samuel and Hannah Isabell Wear.

They were the parents of 10 children;
[1] Eliza born 1846 may have married Jason Bryant [not proven yet]
[2] Christopher Colombus born 1846 married Mary Raines 1866. He left Mary and their 2 children in Tennessee in 1868 and was never heard from again
[3] Hannah born Oct 1, 1948 married James Wiliam 'Bud' Raines
[4] Charles born 1850 married #1 Harriett M. ? #2 M. J. 'Sis Martin
[5] Carroll born 1852 married #1 Rispa Francis Raines, #2 Anilizer Ann De Freeze
[6] John Loggain born 1854 died by 1860
[7] Margaret born 1856 married #1 Edom Cole #2 Frank Bowman
[8]James Perry born June 14, 1857 married Elizabeth Lucticia Killiam
[9] Major Taylor born March 1859 married Martha E. Wyatt
[10] Sarah Pamela born April 12, 1861 married Jasper Younger.

Major died in the Civil War at Nashville, Tennessee December 1862. In 1868 Hannah left Ala with the Raines And Haskins families and arrived in Boone County, Arkansas March 1870 after a brief stop in Tennessee. She then moved to Searcy County. She later married Jesse Lay.
