Spicy Freeman, Disposal of Property



Petition for order of Sale
Filed July 15, 1901
In the Probate Court of Pope County, Arkansas.
July term thereof.

In the matter of
M. L. Ellis, Administrator of the Estate of Spicy Freeman, decd.

Petition to Sell Personal Property.
Your petitioner would represent to the Hon. Court the he was appointed by the clerk of the court, on the 26th day of June 1901, Administrator of the Estate of Spicy Freeman, deceased, and that the personal property belonging to said estate amounts to about Fifty Three ($53.00) dollars as shown by the inventory and appraisment list filed herein. That it would be to the best interest of said estate to sell said personal property to the best advantage and apply the proceeds thereof to pay the debts probated against said estate and the cost of administration. Wherefore your petitioner would respectively pay for an order of sale to sell said property.

M. L. Ellis, Administrator
of the Estate of Spicy Freeman, decd.

Now on this day comes, M. L. Ellis, Administrator of the Estate of Spicy Freeman deceased, by his attorney U. L. Meads and presents to the Court his petition for an order of court to sell and dispose of all the personal property belonging to said estate and hold the proceeds subject to the orders of this court. And after hering said petition and being advised as to what order to make, the Court doth order the said Administrator to sell all of the personal property, belonging to said Estate of whatsoever kind and character, on a credit of three (3) months, with good and sufficient security, after giving notice for 20 days, by putting up written or printed notice of the time, terms, and place of sale, in at least five (5) conspicuous places in Pope County at least twenty (20) days before the day mentioned as the day of sale and hold the proceeds subject to the order of this court.
