Milas and Lizzie Wishon Family, ca 1914:
L to R: George Custer, Milas Monroe Wishon, Howard Taft, Cora Edna,
Minnie Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Keeton Wishon holding Alpha, and Isaac.

I suppose I should explain what that white cloth is that is hanging on the porch of Uncle Milas and Aunt Lizzie Wishon's house. We always had a nice thin cloth to strain milk through after we milked the cows. That cloth was washed after each straining and hung out in the sunshine to be ready for the next milking and that was twice a day. So many things I take for granted that people will know because I grew up with it. Even my daughter did not ever see cows being milked and does not know about the straining process. All she knows about milk is to go to the store and pick out the freshest one on the shelf.
