John Norris was born in Wilkes County, North Carolina (same area that the Carlton's came from), he died 13 July, 1900 at Murray, is buried Buffalo Cemetery.

He married Mary McGuire 1835 in Fentress County, Tennessee, she was born May of 1818 and died after 1900, also buried in Buffalo Cemetery (No Headstone).

#3 Philadelphia 'Delphia' Norrris born 1844 Fentress Co., Tennessee, died 1878 at Parthenon, buried Union Hill Cemetery, married James Jefferson Hudson November of 1863.

#4 John H. Norris born May of 1854 Fentress Co., Tennessee died abt 1914 Hughes Co., Ok, married Sarah Elizabeth McPherson 7 March, 1857, daughter of Ambrose R. and Eliza Jane Carlton McPherson, she died in 1894 in Newton Co. and John married Laura E. Sloan in 1896 and moved to Ok.

#5 Candron Norris born 1856 in Texas.

#6 Florence Norris born 29 January, 1860 Fentress Co., Tennessee (Could Be Newton Co.), died 29 March, 1895 near Swain, Newton Co., married David Crockett Nichols in 1877 Newton Co.

#7 George Gaston Norris born 1862 Newton Co., died 18 October, 1950 in Mangum, Greer Co., Ok; Married Delila Adeline Curtis 11 June, 1882.

#8 Sarah Louise Norris, no dates, married Isom Murphy Davis

#9 Eliza Ann Norris born June of 1850 Newton Co., was living with her daughter Florence Carlton Casey in Harrison in 1920; married A. C. Wilson no info, 2^nd married Lawrey C. Carlton, 25 February, 1885.
