John William 'Bill' Carter

John William 'Bill' Carter was born March 12, 1893 in Newton County, died October 3, 1944 at Parthenon, with burial in Union Hill Cemetery. He was son of John William 'Jack' Carter and Rebecca Jane [Jackson] Carter. John William 'Jack' Carter was born May 28, 1848 in Missouri, died January of 1932 at Parthenon, buried Union Hill Cemetery. He was son of Joe and Martha. 'Jack' married Rebecca Jane Jackson in 1889. She was born March 16, 1871, died February 1, 1905 at Parthenon, also buried at Union Hill Cemetery. She was daughter of Dan Jackson and Fannie[Raulston] Jackson.

'Bill' Carter was husband of Ada Zura Hickman. Ada was born June 25, 1897 in Newton County. She died November 15, 1959 at Parthenon, also buried at Union Hill Cemetery. Ada was daughter of Jesse Hickman and Anna [Hudson] Hickman.

# 5 Don Carter, born at Parthenon, died at Springdale. Husband of Lois Taylor, daughter of Wilburn Taylor and Thelma [Holland] Taylor.

# 6 Jimmie Carter, born at Parthenon, married Marjorie Yates.

# 7 Daniel Jackson 'Jack' Carter, born February 25, Feb 1933 at Parthenon, died June 27, 2000, buried Snow Cemetery. Jack married Beatrice Ramsey, daughter of Connie K. Ramsey and Nancy [Vaughn] Ramsey.
