Thanks Nancy Jane!

Jerimiah Standridge enlisted in Company C, 1st Arkansas Union Infantry Volunteers at Fayetteville, Arkansas, February 12, 1863, he was discharged August 10, 1865, at Ft. Smith, Arkansas. His description at enlistment: six feet three inches tall, gray eyes, hair was dark and his complexion dark.

During the Civil War, Jerry's Military Records show him as deserted and absent on detached service with a Captain Vanderpool. During the Civil War, Jerry's Military records show him as a deserter and absent on detached service with the Captain Vanderpool, for the same period of time. It could be due to a difference in or philosophy of, the person who took the roll, or it could have just been a mass confusion.

Jerimiah Standridge was born December 25, 1834 Carroll County, Arkansas. He died February 23, 1917, Richland Township, Newton County, Arkansas. Jerry is buried Moore Cemetery, grave is marked with a Military Marker.
