Henry Gilbert 'Gib' Ramsey was born to Thomas Ramsey and Elizabeth Ponder in May of 1853 in Madison County, North Carolina, he died 1929, is buried in Union Grove Cemetery. Gib married Mary Ann Ray, she was born 1858 in North Carolina. She is also buried at Union Grove.

Children of Henry Gilbert Ramsey and Mary Ann Ray are:

# 1 Marsnia Ramsey, born November 26, 1880, died February 29, 1968...buried at Union Hill Cemetery. She married Bascom Bishop Ramsey, son of James A. Ramsey and Julia A. Chambers.

# 2 Dona C. 'Renie' Ramsey married Andrew Jason 'Jase' Willis. They are buried at Union Grove Cemetery.

# 3 Robinson Crusoe Ramsey, born December 13, 1880 in North Carolina, died January 29, 1961 at Murray, buried at Snow Cemetery. He married Agusta J. 'Gustie' Holcombe.

# 4 Sarah Louella Ramsey, born June 26, 1884 in Marshall County, North Carolina, died April 13, 1976 at Parthenon, buried at Union Hill Cemetery. She married Charlie Lee Ramsey, son of James A. Ramsey and Sarah Susanna McPeters.
