MILES RITCHIE born 1849 in Perry Co., Kentucky, married VICY JANE ACORD in 1873 in Johnson Co., Arkansas. VICY was born 1857 at Friley Creek, Arkansas, she was the daughter of WILLIAM ACORD and MARTHA CASEY. MILES RITCHIE died Jan 9, 1917 at the age of 68 years old in Arkansas and is buried in Yale Cemetery, Arkansas.
MILES and VICY RITCHIE farmed on Mulberry Creek for many years, later several of her sons moved to Kuna, Idaho to live, VICY moved with one of her sons to Kuna, Idaho and lived there until her death on April 20, 1938, she was living with her son ZED RITCHIE and his wife ALICE at the time of her death.
MILES RITCHIE'S sister MELISSA RITCHIE was born 1851, in Perry Co, KY.
MILES brother SOLOMON (SAW) RITCHIE was born 1854 in Madison County, AR.
MILES and VICY JANE RITCHIE had 9 children:
SARAH ANN RITCHIE April 9, 1877, her first husband died, no children, she moved back home with her parents and then she met HENRY WEATHERBY, she married HENRY WEATHERBY, April 15, 1906, she taught him to read and write, he was an avid reader of the Bible, he found the plan of salvation in the Bible but didn't know about the Church of Christ until
they moved to Meridan and found Jack Free preaching on the radio, he was the one that shared the gospel with the Harris family and many others and brought them to Christ, HENRY & SARAH WEATHERBY were wonderful people, HENRY was very intelligent but back in those days sons had to
work, not go to school.
MILES HENRY RITCHIE July 22, 1872, he married BLANCHE KAYLOR on Sept 22, 1897, BLANCHE was fun and fiesty, JIM was a good looking man and quite a singer, he sung with the Stamps Quartet, they were very famous at one time.
JAMES MONROE RITCHIE March 13, 1881, he married NANCY ASHER, NANCY was a real nice lady, good housekeeper and always had a big garden, JIM
and NANCY lived up on Thorn Creek, near Idaho City for sometime. JIM worked at the sawmill at Thorn Creek and lived in a sawmill shack, like
everyone else did, they are both buried in Kuna, Idaho.
WALLACE RITCHIE Dec 22, 1885, he died Jan 4, 1918 and is buried in Yale Cemetery in Arkansas, he married EDNA WAGES.
MITTY RITCHIE Nov 15, 1887, she died 2 or 3 years old.
CHARLES EDWARD RITCHIE Oct 24, 1893, he died an infant.
ZED PORTER RITCHIE Sept 4, 1896, died Oct 10, 1980 in Kuna,
Idaho, he married ALICE DAY the daughter of WILLIAM HENRY
HARRISON DAY and SARAH CATHERINE MCCARTHY, they are both buried in Kuna Cemetery
MARTHA JANE RITCHIE Oct 15, 1883 in Yale, Arkansas, she died Dec 1968 in Boise, Idaho, she married JOHN HENRY HARRIS, in Pettigrew, AR, on June 20, 1901. He was born Oct 30, 1883, in Madison Co, Arkanas, the son of JOHN N HARRIS b, 1851 and MAHALA CATHERINE UPTON b 1855, JOHN died in
1958 in Boise, Idaho, JOHN HENRY and MARTHA HARRIS are both buried at Morris Hill in Boise, Idaho.
JOHN WILLIAM RITCHIE Feb 9, 1879, died Jan 13, 1959, he married MANDY FLORENCE HARRIS, the daughter of ROBERT H HARRIS and DUCENA ELIZABETH UPTON, she was born April 18, 1889, she died May 30, 1956,
