This Deed of Conveyance made and entered into by Jesse Hinkle as Commissioner appointed by the Probate Court of Izard County in a certain suit in the Probate Court in and for the County of Izard in the State of Arkansas wherein Geo. W. Gray in his own right, Hartel B. Walker as Guardian of his own children, Joseph L. Byler as Guardian of his own children and Joseph L. Byler in his own right as the vendee of the following described heirs of Henry Taylor and Polly Taylor, to wit, John W. Taylor, Elizabeth Richardson, Mary Taylor and Pheby Taylor; and vendees of Harriet Hendirck, William O. Arnold and Charity his wife, Wm. B. Gray, James Gray, John Gray, Martha Gray, John Womack and Sarah Womack his wife and Jane Gray as Guardian of Wm. F. Gray; John A. Byler next friend of Jesse W. Byler, all the last named heirs being of (marked out) heirs of Wm. Gray deceased were Petitioners for the division of the following described lands situate in the County of Izard State of Arkansas to wit }

the North East qr of the North East qr of Section No. Eleven (11) contained Forty acres The East 1/2 of the South East qr of Section of Section no Two (2) except about Two acres containing Seventy eight acres and the South west qr of the South west qr and the South East qr of the South West qr of Section No one (1) and one hald of the North west qr of the South west qr of Section No One (1) containing about twenty acres and amounting in all by Esimation Two Hundred and twenty acres all in Township fifteen (15) north of Range Nine (9) West.

Witnesseth that in pursuance of the orders decrees and directions of the Probate Court of Izard County made at the Janaury Term thereof 1872 The said Jesse Hinkle was appointed Commissioner to sell the above described lands, one third cash in hand and the balance on twelve months credit on the premises the same was under the order of said Count on the 10th day of February 1872 after being duly advertised as required by law and attended on the premise of the said lands and then and there on said 10th day of February 1872 then offered all of said lands in Section No Two (2) and the North Esat qr of the North East qr of Section no Eleven (11) and after crying the same for sometime the same was struck off and sold to Joseph L. Byler at and for the sum of One Thousand Dollars he being the last highest and best bidder Therefor and all that portion of said Land as above mentioned in Section No. One (1) was then offered in a body and after crying the same for some time the said Joseph L. Byler bid the sum of Two hundred and ten ($210) dollars and the said bid being the highest and best bid Then and there offered, the same was stuck off to the said Joseph L. Byler be being the highest and best bidder for said lands and the said Joseph L. Byler paying the one third price of the whole sum of Twelve Hundred and ten dollars case to me in hand and executing his note for the remaining two thirds of said sum of money payable in twelve months from said 10th day of February 1872 And the said Joseph L. Byler having fully paid up said sum of money for all of said lands,

Now Therefore, Be it known that I Jesse Hinkle as such commissioner aforesaid have bargained and sold and by these present do bargain, sell and convey unto the said Joseph L. Byler all the right title and Interest in and to the above described lands that the said heirs of John Gray deceased had in and to the same and with all the right title interest appurtenances thereto in any wise beloning to have and to hold the same forever unto the said Joseph L. Byler his heirs and assigns forever.

In testimony whereof the said Jesse Hinkle as such commissioner as aforesaid have hereto set his hand as such commissioner and affixed his seal this 9th day of March One thousand Eight hundred and Seventy four A.D. 1874.
