Nancy Grimes, head of household, was widow of David Alonzo Grimes...they were married January 22, 1874 in Stone County, Arkansas. Nancy was daughter of James M. Chitwood and Harriett Ross.

David was the son of David H. 'D.H.' Grimes and Rhoda Ann Canard. David Alonzo Grimes was an original land owner in Izard County. See location of that land on Original Izard County Land Owners Maps by Roger Harvell, Map #3.

The 1920 Guion Township Izard County Census incorrectly stated son Ray as a daughter...correct info appears on 1930 Guion Township Census.

Lonzo Grimes was the son of David Alonzo Grimes and Nancy Chitwood. Lonzo's wife Dora was the daughter of James Obed Keener and Leona Adeline Trantham from North Carolina.
