Letter from Georgie to Ellen Priest DeYoung Feb 13, 1978.
Dear Ellen, sure intended answer your newsy letter before this but
time sure flies so please forgive my slowness.
We are so glad you are so well and sure hope you get to take your
trip to Hawaii and enjoy it.  We have some friends there now, doubt
if we ever make it.
Our repairs in our home mostly done our rugs down and don't either
work often Sat. nights - have enjoyed our home and TV this winter.
Weather has been bad at times were snowed in and our forecast for 4"
and strong winds so may have stay in again tonight.  We each have
meetings but may not make them.
I have made 2 baby quilts for a friend who has twins and helped with
lap robes for Nursing homes and V.A. Hospitals - I must get another
baby quilt made for our nephew and his wife who are expecting a baby
in April.
I don't know much about any of our Priest family, haven't heard from
Bill Crider for two Christmas' now so he must have passed away too.
Yes I think Ab Priest in Sacramento wrote me Fannie was dead and
Washington Ab's Ruth had lived with her several years.  Aunt Martha
Priest's family has slipped away too - 2 sons in Missouri. and I believe
Lucy the youngest daughter who married late in life lives in Oklahoma.
I must close - hope the heavy rains have not bothered you or any your
family and you have a Happy Birthday - I will be 60 March 4th so time
passes on!
If you haven't taken your trip do have a wonderful time and stay as long
