Hamilton Haskins was born 1824 in South Carolina to James and Anna Haskins. He married Charity Gibson July 16, 1846 in Campbell Co. Georgia.
James, Hamilton's father, died June 1860 (on Measles Ga. Mortality Sch.) He had 1 known Brother, William.
Hamilton left Georgia and moved to Walker County Alabama by 1850. Their Children were all born there:
[1] Louisa Jane, born April 1848, married #1 Robert Raines, #2 Reuben Southard, #3 Frank White
In 1868 John and Louisa who had married into the Raines family, left Alabama with the Raines and Loggains, bringing their siblings with them. They stopped in Tennessee a few months then moved To Boone County, Arkansas.
[2] John W., born 1852, married Pamela Priscilla Raines
[3] George W., born 1854, married #1 Mary Raines, #2 Sophenia Burt Loggains
[4] Joseph Wilson, born May 1858, married Julia Davis
[5] Charity (last record found 1880 Boone Co Ark, still single.)
[6] Mary, born 1861, married H.B. Fancher
When Mary was less than 1 yr old, Hamilton enlisted in the Civil War, February 22, 1862. He was a private in Co F, was killed 4 months later. Charity died within the next six years.
