She was born in Marion County, Arkansas to Smith and Cass {Cannon} Matlock. Lettie and her husband, Fred Grooms, are both buried in Rock Creek Cemetery at Harriett, Arkansas.

Item #34 Franklin Wortman, in uniform:
Son of John Wortman and Nancy M. Morris, born July 6, 1823 in Tennessee. Franklin Wortman married Elizabeth Turney in 1852, Witts Springs, Searcy County, Arkansas. He died April 14, 1911 in Witts Springs. Picture appears in Mrs. Walsa Box Castleberry's book, Castleberry And Allied Families in Northwest Arkansas, Searcy County.

Item #36 John Lemuel Wortman:
John Lemuel Wortman was son of Franklin Wortman and Elizabeth Turney Wortman. He was born 10 July, 1853 in Searcy County, Arkansas. John married Henrietta Morgan 30 June, 1889 in Searcy County. He died 09 February, 1935 in Greenwood, Sebastian County, Arkansas.

Item #42 Henry and Ethel Wortman:
Henry Franklin Wortman, son of John Lemuel Wortman and Henrietta Morgan. Henry was born November 5, 1891 in Searcy County. He died December 26, 1917 in Sebastion County, Arkansas. On November 14, 1915 he married Ethel Lavada Wasson at Witts Springs in Searcy County. Ethel was born September 22, 1895 at Bear Creek, in Searcy County.

Daughter of John Lemuel Wortman and Henrietta Morgan. She was born November 3, 1894 in Witts Springs; died May 25, 1973 in Purcell, McClain County, Oklahoma. Married Webster Dinsmore Wasson on November 14, 1914 at Witts Springs in Searcy County.

Daughter of John Lemuel Wortman and Henrietta Morgan. She was born January 1, 1898 in Witts Springs; died July 30, 1931 in Ft. Smith, Sebastion County, Arkansas.

Item #45 Grace Mae Wortman:
Daughter of John Lemuel Wortman and Henrietta Morgan. She was born December 26, 1906 in Marshall, Arkansas; died January 16, 2002 in Fort Worth, Texas. On June 29, 1928 she married Rusell William Cox in Sebastion County, Arkansas.
