Item #1176 Kiziah Roark and two daughters:
Left is Kiziah Lackey Villines Roark, sister to Sarah Louise 'Sally' Lackey Kilgore, half-sister to Walter F., William Rowan and Daniel Boone Lackey.
She first married Martin Villines, brother of 'Boxley Joe'. She was born in 1855 and married Martin May 17, 1874. After he died she married Williamson Roark, July 1, 1883. I do not know the names of the two daughters or which marriage they belonged to. Kiziah was born in Sparta, MS.

Item #1177 Phoebe Whiteley Casey:
Phoebe 'Priscilla' Jane Whiteley Casey, photo taken about 1880. Daughter of Samuel and Lucy Maynard Whiteley, wife of Abner Ellsberry Casey, early settlers on Big Buffalo River near Boxley, Newton County. Abner was a confederate supporter who was ambushed and killed by a neighbor, a Union Soldier, while returning from the Confederate powderworks at Bat Cave in the hills above his farm. Jane buried her husband, continued farming the family lands, and raised their family there.

Eli Estep was son of Samuel Eastep and Mary Griffith, born November of 1850 in Clay County, Kentucky. Catherine was daughter of Washington Roberts and Melinda Gilbert.

Arewine Yates was born September 15, 1815 in White County, Tennessee, died June 9, 1886 and is buried in Richland Cemetery in Newton County. He married Malinda Page, daughter of Jacobe Page and Jane Allen, she is buried in the McCutcheon Cemetery at Bass.

Herb Boling and children; Gladys Boling Presley, Alford Boling, Les Boling, and Cecil Boling. Herb was son of William Boling and Malinda Eastep. His wife was Emily Jane Case, daughter of Alfred Tildon Case and Susan Eastep. Emily is buried at Sutherland Cemetery.

George Washington Boling was son of William Boling and Debrah Duff. Agatha's maiden name was Richardson. They are buried at Sutherland Cemetery.

Item #1186 Coy and Gladys Presley and grandson, 1966:
Coy Presley and Gladys Mae Boling Presley, daughter of Herb Boling and Emily Case. Gladys was born March 5, 1918 in Newton County, died January 23, 1971. Married October 31, 1935 to Coy Presley who was born February 6, 1912, died October 21, 1991. My parents are buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Benton County.

Elton Rich was son of Herman Rich and Elsie Bean. Ray Carlton was son of Theo Carlton and Etta Hammond. Picture taken at a CCC Camp located in Huntsville, Madison County, Arkansas.

Names of individuals appear with picture. Hand written note with picture states, 'The first row names are right. The second row: They left off the first boy and made the names come out wrong. The first boy in the second row is Orville Bradley, the second boy is the first name listed and so on.'

Alfred Tildon Case, March 16, 1877 - January 29, 1958, son of Andrew 'Jackson' and Rachel Case. His wife Susan was born September 16, 1880, died June 28, 1959, daughter of Benjamin Eastep and Emily Smith. Tildon and Susan are buried Case Cemetery, they are my Great Grandparents, parents of my Grandmother Emily Case Boling.

Children, Back Row: Left is Elpha McCutcheon [Dickey], Right is Ethel McCutcheon [Carlton]. Boy on left is Oliver McCutcheon, boy on right is Harrison Jackson 'Jack' McCutcheon. On Cordeia's lap is daughter Opel Elizabeth McCutcheon [Rushing].

Item #1194 Ike Cowan Family:
Isaac 'Ike' and Mary Ann 'Polly' Daniels Cowan and their family. I don't know names of their children that are in the photo. If someone can identify any of them that would be great. They lived in the Fallsville area and I think the picture was taken around the turn of the century. It was taken in Newton County for sure. Ike and Polly were my Great Great Grandparents.

William was born in Georgia in 1809, migrated to Newton County, Arkansas in the 1830's where he died in 1894. Husband of Sarah Street.

Item #1198 Martha Elizabeth Curnutt Villines:
Second wife of William 'Fishing Bill' Villines. The horse is named Dan, the child is a grandchild of Fishing Bill and Martha, don't have the name. My great-grandfather, Samuel A. 'Sam' Eoff married Martha's sister. There was at least three Samuel Eoffs' so we distinguish them by their middle initial. This photo is not very good but I am just glad to have it.

Made in front of the Charley Warren house, Maud Cole lived there and then Beaver Jim Villines lived in it. Made in Ponca, AR I would say late 1920s.
