no dates, he and Lizzie moved to Oklahoma in the 30's where they raised Lizzie's nephew, Robert Shroll.

Garrett and Josie Rhynes: Garrett Letcher Rhynes married Amanda Josephine Sparks on September 1, 1899 Newton County, Arkansas. 'Josie' was daughter of James Basil Sparks and Mary Francis Breedlove. She was born July 13, 1874 Deer, Newton County, Arkansas, and died there August 2, 1939.

Jane Ann Owen Snow: I made contact with a lady named Karen Fetters who is a great-granddaughter of Calvin Houston Snow and Jane Ann Owen (b. 1861, Newton Co. - dau of Richard Owen and Emaline Moody) and a gg-aunt of mine. Karen sent me a picture of Aunt Jane made in 1939 on the occasion of her 78th birthday. Note the the photo was made in color which was a bit rare at the time. I assume that photo was made in either Norman or Ada, OK where she was living when she died in 1949.

Alf and Kizzie Keeton: James Alfred 'Alf' Keeton, September 20, 1844 in Newton County to July 3, 1938; died Ponca, Arkansas.
Kizzie Philingame Goodnight Keeton, 'Alf's' second wife. Her first husband, John Goodnight was born 1819, died April 15, 1885. He was a Civil War Veteran.
Alf Keeton is buried at Beechwood Cemetery.

Jesse Tipton Casey: Jesse Tipton Casey (1824-1897) son of Jesse Casey, grandson of Abner and Elizabeth Bowen Casey. Jesse T. Casey, a farmer, and Elizabeth Virginia Netherton, his wife, were born in Tennessee, 1824 and 1829, respectively. They were the parents of one daughter, Elizabeth, born in 1849. Jesse T. Casey was the first postmaster of the Boxley Post Office, about 1871. Earlier postal service had been instituted about 1851 as the Whiteley Post Office, named after Sam Whiteley, but it was discontinued in 1866.

Ponca near one of the big springs that we carried water from. Left to Right: Mayme Blank, Leness House, Frank Villines,
Lizzie Minicus, (Mayme and Lizzie were sisters), Ed Minicus was pouring from the bottle. I do not know who the
other man is.
