Item #5 Old store at Pineville:
Built during the Civil War era by Captain R. C. Matthews. It burned January 20, 1951. The store was owned by Victor Harber at the time it burned.

Item #6 Pineville School, circa 1955:
Built in the early 1880's according to information from an article in Calico Rock Progress dated April 30, 1954. The last school year was 1950-51 when the school was consolidated with Calico Rock. The building was torn down about 1980.

Item #8 Wayland Arbor at Dolph:
This picture was made in 2001. Many of the early residents of Izard County are buried here. The Arbor is still used for services on Decoration Day.

John Bell Staggs 30 July 1829 - 14 February 1907. Armittie Apaline Allen 8 January 1834 - 8 October 1920. Both are buried Trumble Campground Cemetery, Dolph, Izard County, Arkansas.

Thomas H. Black born October 4, 1807, died June 23, 1889. Mary T. Byler Black born December 19, 1809, died December 14, 1871

Item #25 William Spencer Black:
Son of Thomas Hill Black and Mary T. Byler. William was born October 12, 1830 in Bedford County, Tennessee. He died May 1908 in Melbourne, Izard County, Arkansas, buried Melbourne Cemetery, Izard County, Arkansas (unmarked grave).

William Black's first marriage was to Sarah Elizabeth Walker, January 4, 1855 in Izard County. Sarah was born May 11, 1833 Izard County, the daughter of Andrew Walker and Sarah Chism. Sarah Black died before 1892 in Melbourne, Izard County, buried Melbourne Cemetery, Izard County, Arkansas (unmarked grave).

William Spencer Black's second wife was Emily Jane Talley, daughter of Bird Tipton Talley and wife Nancy. Emily was born October 1849 Fulton County, Arkansas, died after 1910, buried Union Cemetery, Fulton County, Arkansas.
